The results of a human rights organization research show that Bahrain has the largest number of prisoners among Arab countries.
Researches led by the Peace Organization for Democracy and Human Rights in cooperation with the Bahraini Human Rights Organization indicated that Bahrain ranked first in the number of prisoners among the Arab countries, and more than 4,000 Bahraini prisoners, including 900 children and women, are currently in prisons.
According to the official statistics, more than 10,000 Bahraini citizens have been oppressed and arrested since 2011, more than 4,000 people among these include 968 children and 330 women, who have been brutally tortured and mistreated. and so far more than 400 Bahrainis have been abducted. More than 4,997 Bahrainis who participated in peaceful protest rallies were also injured during this period.
